International Men's Day · November 19
Every man deserves to feel seen.
This International Men's Day, take a moment to thank a man who has made a difference in your life.
#ThankAMan

A man's worth is inherent — not measured by what he earns, achieves or provides.
Why this matters
Many men carry a lot, quietly.
Men show up for the people around them, often without being thanked. Many also carry struggles that are hard to see from the outside.

Loneliness and isolation
Around 1 in 6 people worldwide report feeling lonely.
Evidence from 2014–2023. All genders, not men alone.
GlobalWHO, 2025 reportMental health
The global male suicide rate was more than twice the female rate in 2021.
12.4 male vs 5.9 female deaths per 100,000. A mortality measure, not how common mental illness is.
GlobalUN SDG Report, 2026Pressure to be strong
Feeling you must cope alone can make it harder to seek support.
Self-reliance and emotional self-control were identified as barriers. A research finding, not a prevalence estimate.
WHO European RegionWHO Europe review, 2020Asking for help
Men are less likely than women to seek help for mental health issues.

Appreciation matters, but it does not replace professional care.
